Russian MoD: More than 2,400 Ukrainian military facilities destroyed

Moscow, SANA- The Russian Defense Ministry has reported the destruction of nearly 2,400 Ukrainian military facilities since the start of the operation in Ukraine.

“A total of 2,482 elements of the Ukrainian military infrastructure have been destroyed over the time of the operation,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Russian Aerospace Force’s bombers and attack aircraft destroyed 158 military targets on the Ukrainian territory, also, Ozernoye military airport in Zhytomyr region was disabled with accurate and long-range weapons, and the Russian fighters downed two MiG-29 and Su-27 aircraft which are affiliated with the Ukrainian forces, Konashenkov added.

Konashenkov said that two Ukrainian S-300 anti-air defense batteries, 3 Buk-M1 self-propelled missile systems, 4 management centers, 2 radar stations, 9 ammunition depots and 11 staging positions of weapons and combat equipment were also disabled.

 ‘Among the targets destroyed, 87 control centers of the Ukrainian forces, 124 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems, 79 radar stations, 866 tanks and other armored vehicles, 91 launchers and 371 of field guns and mortars, 634 special military vehicles and 81 drones,’ the spokesman added.

He stressed that since 10 a.m. (Moscow time) a ceasefire has been declared, and humanitarian corridors have been opened from the cities of Kyiv, Chernigov, Sum, Kharkov and Mariupol with the aim of evacuating civilians safely.
