Russia announces a ceasefire in several Ukrainian cities, starting Tuesday

Moscow, SANA- The Russian Defense Ministry announced a ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian corridors in several Ukrainian cities, starting on Tuesday, so that civilians can exit through humanitarian corridors.

“Starting from 10:00 on March 8, the Russian Federation announces a ceasefire regime and is ready to provide humanitarian corridors from Kyiv, Chernigov, Sumy Kharkov and Mariupol,” it said in a statement cited by Russian Tass News Agency.

The statement read “”Without the participation of Ukraine, the Russian side has managed to evacuate 173,773 people from the areas of the special military operation in the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics and Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation, including 44,187 children.”

The Russian Defense Ministry had previously warned that the regime in Kyiv was using the tactic of terrorists by opening fire on civilians who were trying to leave their homes and reach humanitarian corridors.
