Donetsk forces take control of 68 towns and villages since beginning of Russian operation

Donetsk, SANA- The Donetsk Republic has declared that it took control of 68 new towns and villages since the beginning of the Russian special military operation to protect the Donbass population in Ukraine.

“As of this evening, our forces have liberated 68 areas which had been under the control of Ukrainian nationalists,” the regional defense headquarters of the Donetsk Republic said in a statement today.

The Defense Forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic said earlier that during an attempt to get out of the city of Mariupol through the humanitarian corridor on the “M23” highway towards Novoazovsk City, a group of civilians came under fire from the militias of the Nazi Azov battalion, and according to a preliminary estimate, two civilians were killed and 4 others were wounded.
