Abkhazia to deepen relations with Syria

Kazan , SANA -Abkhazian Foreign Minister, Daur Kove, affirmed on Thursday that his country seeks to deepen
relations with Syria in the political, economic and cultural fields.

“We look forwards for more development in the bilateral relations with Damascus,” Kove said in a statement on the sidelines of the economic summit “Russia and the Islamic world,” referring to the active political dialogue between Abkhazia and Syria, the official visits between the two countries in addition to the work of Abkhaz Embassy in Damascus.

He added that Abkhazia is actively working to develop mutual- benefit cooperation with Damascus in the commercial and economic fields, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian ones.

Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia was opened on October 6th , 2020 in Damascus to develop and boost bilateral relations in various fields.
