Daraa Department of Antiquities receives pieces of artifacts

Daraa, SANA- Daraa Department of Antiquities received dozens of various artifacts dating back to different periods of time from a citizen in the province.

Director of Daraa National Museum, Wael Kiwan, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the artifacts are stone and pottery pieces, the first dating back to the Stone Age and the second to the Middle Bronze and the Islamic period, noting that some pieces are in good and complete status and others need restoration, especially pottery.

 He pointed out that the stone artifacts are small jars that were used by mankind at home and as tools for preparing food, elaborating that after the Department receives the pieces, they will register, clean, restore what is needed and prepare them later for museum exhibitions.
