Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds three million and 880 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 3,880,000 people worldwide since its breakout in December 2019, according to the last statistics by the American Worldometers Website.

The website, which tracks the latest developments of the virus, added that the total number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has reached up to 179,196,334 till now, while 3,880,431 cases have passed away, and the recoveries have climbed to 163,705,774.

The US still tops the worst-affected countries in terms of infections and deaths as it has recorded 617,161 deaths out of 34,405,172 infections.

India comes second with 388,164 deaths out of 29,934,361 infections, then comes Brazil in the third place as it has registered 501,825 deaths out of 17,927,928 infections.
