Worldwide Coronavirus infections exceed 163 million

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of three million and 383,964 persons worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019.

According to the latest statistics by Worldometer website, the total number of infections worldwide has climbed up to 163 million and 191,576 infections, while the recoveries have reached up to 141 million and 515,329.

The US still on top of the worst-hit countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths after recording 33 million and 695,916 infections out of 599,863 deaths.

While Brazil comes in the second place in terms of fatalities with 2,087 deaths out of 67,009 infections, over the past 24th hours, raising the total number of infections to 15 million and 590,613 while the deaths reached up to 434,852.

Then comes Mexico in the third place after recording 225 deaths out of 2,695 infections to raise the total number of deaths to 22,0380 and the infections to 2 million and 380,690.
