Cuba, Syria… Friendly, deep-rooted relations based on bilateral cooperation

Damascus , SANA- Cuba celebrates the 62nd anniversary of the victory of the Cuban revolution and its independence on January 1st, as it became an icon in the struggle against foreign domination and rejection the external interventions .

Syria and Cuba have been linked by friendly relations and cooperation over decades, these relations are based on firm principles, foremost of which are preservation of national sovereignty and non-interference in the domestic affairs of countries and supporting the just causes of peoples in face of policies of the US and Western hegemony in a way that enhances cooperation and achieve the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples.

Cuba has announced its support for Syria and its standing by it in the face of the terrorist war and the economic sanctions against it, and the attempts of Western and regional powers to impose agendas on it that contradict with the interests of the Syrian people, while Syria continues to support Cuba in the face of the economic blockade imposed by the US on it.

This year has witnessed the celebration of both countries in the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as they share a vision about the importance of depending on national and local experiences and capabilities in facing the US and Western coercive measures imposed on the two states.
