Moscow, SANA- Spokesman of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, affirmed on Thursday that Russia will exert more efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria.
Sputnik quoted Peskov as telling reporters that “Russia is a basic country in reaching a solution to the crisis in Syria,” adding that it helps the Syrian people confront terrorists and cooperates with the UN to achieve this solution”.
Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, reaffirmed during a press conference on Thursday with Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, his country’s firm stance on the necessity of preserving Syria’s sovereignty and its independence.
