Hama production of honey estimated at 250 tons for current season

Hama, SANA –The production of Hama province of honey estimated at about 250 tons for the current season.

Head of Bee Division at Hama Agriculture Directorate Fayez Hindawi told SANA reporter that the bee breeding has witnessed remarkable improvement and the number of breeders are increasing particularly in province countryside.

He pointed out that the pure honey production from various types amounted about 6 kg per hive.

Hindawi noted that the number of bee breeders have reached at 2,310 ones.

 It is noteworthy that Hama province’s production of honey reached up to 220 tons of honey last year.
