Okamura calls for imposing sanctions on Turkish regime for its hostile practices

Prague, SANA- Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Head of the Movement of Freedom and Direct Democracy Tomio Okamura has called for ending the negotiations on Turkey’s accession to the European Union (EU) and for expelling it from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) due to the dangerous aggressive practices of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s regime.

Okamura, in a post on the Facebook, slammed the European Commission’s indifference towards the calls by different European political forces including the Movement of Freedom and Direct Democracy to impose sanctions on this aggressive regime due to its hostile practices towards Syria, Libya, Cyprus, Greece and Nagorno-Karabakh region.

“Erdogan doesn’t hide the fact that he wants to revive the Ottoman Empire, and this is unacceptable,” Okamura said.

Czech MP at the European Parliament Ivan David, for his part, affirmed that the Turkish regime has directly contributed to sparking the ongoing war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh region, therefore, there have been calls at the European Union for imposing sanctions on the Turkish regime, yet the European Commission doesn’t care about that.

David warned that this issue makes the Turkish regime go far in its hostile practices.
