Damascus, SANA-President Bashar al-Assad issued on Thursday decree No. 143 that relieves Prime Minister Imad Khamis of his post and designates Engineer Hussein Arnous for the mission of Prime Minister in addition to his post.
Decree No.143
Article 1: Prime Minister, Imad Khamis, is relieved of his post.
Article 2: Engineer Hussein Arnous is designated for the missions of Prime Minister in addition to his missions.

Eng. Hussein Arnous, the prime minister designated, in addition to his missions, is the Minister of Water Resources.
He was born in Idleb province,1953, He graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering of Aleppo University in 1978 and he was head of Idleb Engineering Syndicate branch from 1989 to1994.
He was appointed as Governor of Deir –Ezzor from 2009 to 2011 and Governor of Quneitra in 2011.
Minister of Public Works and Housing as of 2013 until 2018.
A member in the central command of the al- Baath Arab Socialist Party since 2013 and Minister of Water Resources since 2018.
