Dara, SANA- Fire brigade extinguished 20 fires on Saturday which extended to the cultivated areas with wheat, barley and chickpeas and other crops and fruitful trees in several areas in the province.
Firefighting brigade Commander, Mohammad Mahamid, said in a statement to SANA reporter that fire units were on alert to put out these fires which led to damage in large areas cultivated with wheat.
He called on citizens to avoid burning the dry grasses which spread near wheat fields and other crops to keep these crops from harm.
The Commander pointed out that the fires extended to forest and fruitful trees and dry grasses in Daraa, Dael, Nawa,Ezraa , Al- Sanamayn and Busra Sham areas.
