Syria strongly condemns acts of aggression by Turkish occupation forces against Syrian people

Damascus, SANA- Syria has condemned in strongest terms the criminal acts of aggression perpetrated by Turkish occupation forces against Syrian people, calling upon the international public opinion to move in order to force Erdogan to stop his crimes immediately.

A source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement to SANA on Thursday that the Syrian Arab Republic condemns in strongest terms the criminal acts of aggression perpetrated by Turkish occupation forces against Syrian people, the latest of which was the airstrikes carried out by drones on residential neighborhoods in the countryside of Tal Abyad in Raqqa province which claimed the lives of five civilians, among them children, and caused the injury of others.

The source added that the Turkish regime and its forces and tools of terrorist organizations and mercenaries continue committing crimes against the Syrian people despite of the agreements which have been reached previously in the framework of the process of Astana and Sochi in a way through which Erdogan reaffirms that he is out of the international law, and that his intentions and actions, which are based on occupation and hostility, are the basis of all what he is doing regardless of the obligations under the aforementioned agreements , international law and the UN Charter.

The source continued “The Syrian Arab Republic affirms that it spares no efforts for defending its people, sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of the Turkish regime’s aggression and greed, and Syria calls upon the international public opinion to immediately move to force Erdogan to immediately stop his crimes against the Syrian people which constitute a flagrant violation of the international and humanitarian laws and conventions.”
