ISIS shells displaced citizens near Ayn al-Arab

Aleppo, SANA – The terrorist organization of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) shelled Saturday morning a camp hosting citizens displaced from the besieged city of Ayn al-Arab, claiming the lives of two and leaving four others wounded, including a child.

Sources said the camp, which is located near Tal Shaeer to the west of Ayn al-Arab on Syria’s northern border with Turkey, is home to hundreds of the city’s residents who were forced to leave their homes fleeing the horrific crimes and massacres committed by ISIS, which has been for weeks now trying to take control of the city.

The Turkish authorities have blocked the displaced people from crossing the border into its territory to escape ISIS, the sources confirmed.

Since September 16th , Ayn al-Arab has been subjected to repeated onslaught by ISIS members that is aimed at controlling the city. The terrorist organization, however, has been met with fierce and unabated resistance by the locals.

Local sources stressed Saturday that heavy clashes continue in the city, with the residents foiling several repeated attempts by ISIS members to infiltrate neighborhoods to the east recently, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS in personnel and equipment.
