Damascus, SANA_ Deputy Speaker of the People’s Assembly Najdat Anzour has underlined the importance of enhancing the joint work between Syria and Iran at all levels.
Anzour’s remarks came during his meeting with Head of Iran-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group Amir Khojasteh and the accompanying delegation in Damascuson Saturday.
He indicated that Iran’s leadership and people’s support for Syria contributed to its victory over terrorism and to strengthening the axis of resistance, pointing to the importance of Iran’s role in supporting Syria at all levels to confront the economic war against it.
For his part, Khojasteh reiterated Iran’s standing by the Syrian leadership and people, expressing his confidence that the Syrians will triumph in the economic war imposed on them as they won the military war.
He clarified that the issue of reconstruction in Syria is a priority for Iran, confirming the enthusiasm of Iranian companies to participate and contribute to this stage.
Later, in a statement to reporters, Khojasteh affirmed the continued Iranian support for Syria on the basis of the agreements inked between the two countries.
He stressed that the victory of the axis of resistance in Syria and Iraq made the United States flounder in its decisions, emphasizing that the Golan is a Syrian land and will return to the motherland, Syria.
