Cabinet approves a number of decisions to support local development

Damascus, SANA-The cabinet approved on Sunday a number of decisions that would be a basis for a balanced local development and become a pioneering work during the coming stage in light of the context of President Bashar al-Assad’s instructions to heads of local councils on February 17^th, 2019.

The cabinet, during a weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, discussed the procedures that should be taken to boost the role of the administrative units in a way to be able to carry out their new missions.

It also tackled the repercussions of the war imposed on Syria and means of dealing with them in addition to easing their direct and indirect impacts on the citizens.

Prime Minister Khamis called on the governmental team to assume their responsibilities to implement the instructions of President al-Assad  and put them in their correct track which provides best services to citizens.
