400 displaced Syrians return via Nassib border crossing

Daraa, SANA-More Syrians who had been displaced due to terrorist acts returned on Saturday via Nassib border crossing to the areas that the Syrian army liberated from terrorism in the southern region, head of the Immigration and Passports Center at Nassib crossing Mazen Ghandour told SANA.

The returnees, numbered 400 over the past four days, returned to Syria using temporary passage tickets that the Syrian embassy in Jordan provided to them after they lost their official documents, he added.

According to Ghandour, the Center’s cadres have offered all necessary facilitations for the returnees at a maximum speed upon the directives of the Syrian government to ease the return of the displaced at all border crossings with neighboring countries.

The fresh returnees bring the total number of displaced Syrians who have returned to the homeland since the opening of Nassib crossing six weeks ago to 3000 who previously fled to neighboring countries to escape terrorist acts.

SANA reporter said that men who are called on to join military service make up most of the returnees via Nassib crossing, adding that their status is being settled at a settlement center at the crossing so as to facilitate their joining the Syrian army.
