Swimmer Firas Maala wins gold medal at European Masters Championships

Ljubljana, SANA – Facing off against 57 of Europe’s best swimmers, Syrian swimmer Firas Maalla won the gold medal at the 5km open water competition at the European Masters Championships held in Slovenia.

The Syrian swimmer is representing the Russian Federation in this competition after he joined the Russian Kuban Club.

Maalla came in first in the five kilometers for 45-49 years category with a time of 01:01:02 hours.
