Cabinet approves a bill on establishing banking courts

Damascus, SANA- The Cabinet held a weekly session on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi, during which it approved a number of bills including one on establishing banking courts in each province.

The bills also included one on imposing a new fee for governmental paperwork called the “martyrs’ stamp” valued at SYP 25, with the proceeds going to martyrs’ families, in addition to a bill regulating the profession of legal translators.

Premier al-Halaqi affirmed that implementing the ministerial statement needs diligent efforts and teamwork to enhance the state’s resources and develop them in a way that supports national economy, calling for rallying the country’s resources to restore security and stability.

He also requested that ministries control spending and optimize their use and investment of resources.
