Damascus, SANA- State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar said that rehabilitation centers for recruited children will be an important stage to have them rejoin society as needed.
Haidar remarks came at the end of a workshop held by the National Reconciliation Affairs Ministry, in cooperation with the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on how to deal with child victims of recruitment.
The necessity of creating rehabilitation centers for recruited children in order to integrate them socially, educationally, and psychologically were the main recommendations of the workshop.
The participants also underlined the importance of organizing questionnaires to access preliminary information about recruited children and focus on training qualified cadres capable of dealing with cases of recruitment.
