Syria participates in the 49th International Chemistry Olympiad in Thailand

Damascus, SANA – Syria is taking part in the competitions of the 49th International Chemistry Olympiad which kicked off in the Thai capital of Bangkok.

The Olympiad will last till July 15th and will include theoretical and practical tests at high scientific level.

The Syrian team includes: Tamam Hawa, Abdullah Qattini, Aws Abass and Yazan Zeidan under the supervision of Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Allaf, the Chairman of the Central Scientific Committee of the Syrian Science Olympiad on chemistry.

Syria has earned 61 international medals and appreciation certificates till now.

Syria will take part in a number of upcoming international Olympiads, including the International Mathematical Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the International Physics Olympiads in Indonesia, International Informatics Olympiad in Iran, and the International Biology Olympiad in UK.
